The risk of receiving a counterfeit product increases when customer buys it from a reseller as the product moves from Importer to distributor then retailer and then to the reseller. How to check if the product is genuine and of good quality?
- All the imported products have the mrp tag and FSSAI importer labels of their Brand Authorized Importer.
- Look for Batch number and Expiry Information, which is must in all products.
- The date of import should be after the date of manufacturing.
- Ask for the Tax Paid Retail Invoice from the reseller.
- If the importer has their own Authentication App/Website, authenticate you product by entering the required information.
